At Frank Barone, M.D. Plastic Surgery and evolv Medical Aesthetics, we recognize and respect the importance and responsibility of service to our community. We are involved in a number of local and national organizations, some of which are listed below.
Operation Smile is a charity whose worldwide network of medical volunteers treats children and young adults born with cleft lips, cleft palates, and other facial deformities in countries all over the globe. More than 130,000 children in 51 countries have been given new smiles since the charity was founded in 1982. Operation Smile volunteers also train local professionals on the facial reconstruction procedures and leave behind crucial equipment so they can continue the work on their own.
Dr. Barone joined Operation Smile in 1987 while training as a fellow in craniofacial surgery in Norfolk with the organization's founder Dr. William Magee, Jr. Since then, he has volunteered for over 25 missions worldwide and has participated in numerous local missions with the Northwest Ohio Chapter of Operation Smile which he started in 1997.

Chicks for Charity and The Victory Center
Chicks for Charity is a local group of women and girls of all ages who come up with fun and creative ways to raise money for area charities. Every two years the Chicks choose a new charity for their fundraising efforts. For 2009-2010, they selected The Victory Center. The Victory Center (TVC) is an independent, non-profit, cancer wellness center providing holistic programs and services to cancer patients and their families since 1996. Part of our plastic surgery practice is reconstructive surgery, so we see breast cancer and skin cancer patients quite often and know that some of them have had support from The Victory Center. So, when we were approached by three very special “Chicks” to hold an event benefiting the charity at our office in February 2009, we were eager to get involved. We had a great time for a wonderful cause! We are planning to host more events during the holidays, and continuing into 2010. Also, every time a "Chick" buys products from evolv, we donate 10% of the proceeds. So far this year, we have helped raise more than $1,500 to benefit the patients of The Victory Center.
